The Waterline Challenge will be open for 2018 registrations in a few weeks. The following information provides some information on what you need to do to be ready.
All registered participants of the Waterline Challenge need to be part of a Team of a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 10. Each Team needs to have a nominated team Leader (or Captain if you prefer,) who must be at least 16 years old and who will be responsible for co-ordinating the team on their particular challenge. As the Waterline Challenge wants to be as inclusive as possible, other than the age of the team leader, there is no restriction on who else can be a member of your Team!
Once you have formed your team you will need to decide the specific nature of your particular challenge. You can be as imaginative as you like: walk, run, kayak, sail, pedal, swim, row, skate, or ride a horse, as long as the route or activity is by the water. Once selected your Challenge will be checked by the local regional controller in your area in order to ensure the safety of the participants.
Benojo is our donations partner. They specialises in helping people raise and donate money to charitable causes. Their website will handle all the transactions associated with the Waterline Challenge. This includes registering all the Charities involved each year and they also facilitate the registration all the Teams and individual Team Members.
Benojo also handles all the donations and makes sure that all the money donated goes to each Team's Charity. The Waterline Challenge Foundation does not handle any of the money donated. Unlike many other on-line charity donation sites Benojo also does not take any part of each donation. However in order to help cover their cost they provide each donor a chance to give a voluntary tip. The only cost is a fee of 1.4% which charged by the bank for handling the credit cards.
